THE FUGLEDE–PUTNAM THEOREM AND PUTNAM’S INEQUALITY FOR QUASI-CLASS (A, k) OPERATORS

چکیده
An operator T ∈ B(H) is called quasi-class (A, k) if T ∗k(|T | − |T |)T k ≥ 0 for a positive integer k, which is a common generalization of class A. The famous Fuglede–Putnam’s theorem is as follows: the operator equation AX = XB implies A∗X = XB∗ when A and B are normal operators. In this paper, firstly we show that if X is a Hilbert-Schmidt operator, A is a quasi-class (A, k) operator and B∗ is an invertible class A operator such that AX = XB, then A∗X = XB∗. Secondly we consider the Putnam’s inequality for quasi-class (A, k) operators and we also show that quasisimilar quasi-class (A, k) operators have equal spectrum and essential spectrum. 1 College of Mathematics and Information Science, Henan Normal University, Xinxiang, Henan 453007, China. FUGLEDE-PUTNAM THEOREM FOR w-HYPONORMAL OR CLASS Y OPERATORS
An asymmetric Fuglede-Putnam’s Theorem for w−hyponormal operators and class Y operators is proved, as a consequence of this result, we obtain that the range of the generalized derivation induced by the above classes of operators is orthogonal to its kernel.

متن کاملE Pluribus Putnams Unum: Hilary Putnam and the Indispensability Argument
In this paper, I argue that the indispensability argument unifies all of Hilary Putnam’s diverse work in the philosophy of mathematics. I also argue that his version of the indispensability argument does not justify knowledge of mathematical objects. I first characterize indispensability arguments in the philosophy of mathematics, distilling them to four essential characteristics. I show that t...
متن کاملThe Dissociative Experiences Scale-ii: Descriptive Statistics, Factor Analysis, and Frequency of Experiences*
Psychometric aspects of the Dissociative Experiences Scale-II were studied with 308 American community college students. The overall DES mean was 21.70. Item-corrected correlations ranged from .30 to .62. The scale’s Cronbach Alpha was .92. There were no significant correlations between DES scores and sex or religiosity. Age was negatively and significantly correlated to DES scores (r = –.24). ...
متن کاملBowling Together?: a Preliminary Investigation of Social Capital Variables and Entrepreneurship
Drawing on a sample of 493 respondents from 21 counties in a southeastern state, this study examines the rate of business start-ups in relation to various measures of community social capital. The measures are drawn from four of the key variables in social scientist Robert Putnam’s book Bowling alone: The collapse and revival of American community. Of the four measures of social capital used—ge...
